Yes, I would stay here again. The view from our room was spectacular, pools were very clean. You are literally a hop, skip and a jump away from Playa Bonita which makes it very convienient. I don't know about most but when traveling to Rocky Point we take water, drinks, snacks simply because we will be going to the beach, convenience, cost. With having kids that they could possibly make an exception.
Granted there wasn't anyone exactly monitoring this but you could tell they were watching. Aside from that the room was ok, and clean. First time visiting Puerto Penasco. Stayed at the Penasco Del Sol April and it was perfect. Everything was as expected. The hotel could use some updating to the rooms as they are outdated, but the location and staff are tremendous. I would stay there again. Have stayed here before. They want you to buy all your water, sodas, juice and beer from them.
Not reasonable when you are hiking your supplies down the public beach. I guess you walk back each time for a cold drink that will be gone by the time you get back to your chairs and towels. There are two other hotels I have used in the past, I will return there until this silly policy goes away. Karla Arias, who is the group manager, was beyond amazing handling our group as if we were the most important people there even tho she had 2 weddings and 2 other big events at the same time, of whom i am sure she made feel just as important!
She handled specialty requests with our guests to design a private bar and dinner out where our racers were working on their bikes and cars She is a professional in every sense and if you are planning a large group outing, trip, wedding etc in Penasco, this is your hotel and your gal. The hotel itself is very clean and has a great pool area and bar. The rooms are simple but clean and nicely decorated with great views of the beach and pool. This was my first time down here so I didn't really know what to expect.
The hotel handles a lot of people really well. The staff are extremely accommodating and friendly - which extends to all the people we talked with in the town.
