The subject of upgrades is very often the cause of arguments amongst TA posters. I made the fatal mistake of showing my wife the IGB online. I will try and get upgraded but if its not possible we will enjoy a great holiday at the Bavaro.
Of course it is so double, when I would get offerd a cheap upgrade to an ocean from room or so I would be over the moon. Have you got your heart set on Punta Cana? Otherwise I could strongly recommend the Grand Paraiso in Mexico. From here netherlands that one is slightly cheaper than Grand Bavaro. Yes we have booked. We arrive on the 25th November. We also love Mexico and never thought we would ever like any where else better, but after our last stay in the Bavaro we think its the best hotel for its price in the Caribbean.
