When I took this book off my bookcase to read, I was hoping for a light "summer" type read. It was certainly light and quick, but I didn't get the enjoyment out of it that I was hoping for. I find sale tables and markdowns irresistible. At the time, I hadn't realized that this was the third book in a series.

What impacted my enjoyment was the characters who I hated and the plot which I couldn't make myself care about. Maybe this series has just run out of steam by book three and the other two are fantastic, but this book was really dull.
Yes, there was a lot going on for the protagonist, but I was mentally rolling my eyes at most of it and just wanting it to be over. If I'd liked the main character, or even any of the side characters, maybe I could have gotten into the plot, but I found them all irritating and insufferable. For the last third of the book, I just wanted to be done so I could pick up something new to read. I'm sad that I didn't enjoy Diary of a Jetsetting Call Girl because normally I enjoy smutty books, but this really missed the mark for me.
