The only downside is that when you remove your key from the in-room slot it totally kills power to the room including your refrigerator and all power sockets, so don;t plan on charging your phone when out or having nice cold drinks when you return, but i will certainly stay again.
A late booking to see the River Kwai festival coupled with a national Thai holiday meant that I was a tad above my usual budget. Staff weren't very welcoming but my spacious garden bungalow more than made up for it. Free WiFi,lovely swimming pool, TV, fridge and aircon.
Terrific setting and there are "river raft" rooms as well. About halfway between Bus station and the bridge itself. Kanchanaburi is a long spread out town so you are never going to be close to evrything. We were staying at the guesthouse next door to Noble Night when a lady approached us on the street asking if we needed a place to stay.
We were not very happy with the place we were staying so decided to check it out. Its gorgeous once you get behind the building to the actual guesthouse. Very nice greenery and new swimming pool and bar area. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Only noticeable issues: Swimming pool fills up fast and bar area never really seemed open, we ordered a drink there once and came back around 7 pm for dinner and couldn't find anyone to serve us.
We stayed during the weekday and it was fairly quiet. We arrived at night and asked to see a room. The man at reception just pointed to a brochure, and seemed pissed when we physically asked to see the room.
