This is such a delightful trip. We started with a couple nights in Hanoi, followed by an overnight on a ship in Halong Bay, with its magical finger mountains. We did a day trip to Hoi An, and of course enjoyed the dragon bridge in Da Nang, breathing fire and water at the crowd each evening. She could not believe she actually got there and exclaimed every day how delighted she was. We celebrated her 94th birthday in Luxor!
Twenty of us enjoyed spring scenery, history, and the elegance of a bygone era. In addition to Machu Picchu, there are so many cultural and historical highlights of this amazing country. A group of 15 flew to Paris to join the riverboat, Viking Kari, for a one-week cruise on the Seine River out to Normandy and back to Paris, then on to London for a 3-night stay in the Hilton Waldorf!
This is a different itinerary from past South Africa trips as we drive into the KwaZulu-Natal region and continue down the south coast. As is custom with this family, there is never a dull moment! The WAVE!! It has become extremely difficult to get the limited permits as there is a huge demand, so 6 of us are very excited about getting there. We combined it with 4 nights in Kanab to explore a little more of the area.
This one starts with a trip to Victoria Falls and then continues on the traditional route with lots of animals and amazing landscapes. What a great atmosphere. The Alamo, missions, history, culture and a Sarah Brightman concert add to the celebration.
It never gets old! So, the natural thing to do is throw in another tour to Southern Utah! Just 3 gals from Indiana and 4 nights in Kanab. Perfect weather made for a perfect trip. It was just the ticket! In the past this trip has involved a cruise, but this time it was just a land tour. We ended with two nights at the Crowne Plaza in Abu Dhabi. Landscapes, History, good food and beverage, and of course magnificent animals! So we spent 3 nights in Denver, 2 days on the train, and 3 nights in Moab.
