Located in the center of the red-light district. Multiple girlie bars and massage parlours along the street, and if you go out past 9pm plenty of hookers will proposition you. Despite this it is not far from the tower, wheel, and we walked to science museum. The room itself is very dark black walls and ceiling don't help with almost no natural light. The bed is tiny and not really suitable for 2 adults get a twin if you can.
If you just want a place to crash for a night or two and the hookers don't bother you, then maybe it could be a cheapish place to stop, but the small dark pokey room will prob drive you crazy for stays any longer. The photos posted of the hotel were photos of somewhere else. Prostitutes loitered in the lobby and waited at the front entrance for customers. Very noisy outside until dawn. Filthy and unkept. I felt like I stayed in a crack house. This hotel is one of the less nice ones I stayed at in Japan, though even 'not so nice' in Japan meant a decent level of cleanliness.
This hotel is mostly about location and affordability. I paid less for a single room than in a hostel; for the official list price this hotel is not worth it, but if you can get a deal on a booking website, I think it beats hostel and capsule options.
Due to said location, the windows have black-out 'curtains' boards that can only be opened a little, so the whole room has a slightly dark appearance. The heater was very noisy, but when we left it off overnight, the blankets were too flimsy.
I would not recommend this hotel for a long-term stay where you actually spend time in the room, but for crashing a night or two, it is perfectly serviceable, safe and affordable. The hotel was dingy.
