Our guide was very knowledgeable and good at spotting animals. We were able to see a sloth really close up. Also saw howler monkeys, a giant iguana, some kind of crested green lizard, The Tortuguero canal system is quite extensive and full of animals, birds and other wildlife. The highlights were seeing the sloths high up in the trees. I was able to take some remarkable pictures with the zoom on my camera.
There were beautiful birds, caiman, When we got off in port, we met a man named Manuel who drove a red Taxi, which we saw as we exited the ship. He gave us a 4 hour Walking from the bus to where we got on the boat was amazing.
The flowers were gorgeous, and the trees were so big and beautiful. We saw one sloth, but without a zoom lens, you would not know what it was.
