Just checking have booked for sunny beach in July 1st trip mentioned this to a friend who said he found a review of sunny beach and that it was full of Gypsies and prostitues - Is there any truth in this and if so any areas we should avoid? There was a problem a few years back but now the local police have cracked down. The only time you will come across the Gypsies are in the guise of roaming fruit sellers.
NEVER accept a Strawberry, Cherry etc from anyone with a basket if you do they will follow you for ever and if you buy it's about 10 times the average price. You might come across the odd lady of the night but to be honest, as my friend says ' There being pushed out by the enthusiastic amateurs '. I agree with Maverick dont worry too much about this, tho you would be wise to heed the advice re fruit sellers.. I think it is an exagerration to say Sunny Beach is "full of gypsies and prostitutes".
Thats not the case. Yes you might see a few gypsies around the resort but I dont recall seeing many "ladies of the night" tho we did in the resort of Golden Sands. Has your friend even visited Sunny Beach? No he has not visited before but looked at it as a possibility for this summer and the reviews put him off.
Must agree with the other post on this just don't take fruit from any1 with a basket as you will get ripped off and as for the ladies of the night I don't think that is much of a problem you do see the odd 1 or 2. I wouldn't listen too much to your friend as you said they have never been to SB just follow the advice you get from this fourm and you will be fine.
Again I have to say I agree with the advice everyone's given you, unfortunately some peoples feedback can put people off but the best advice I can give is go with an open mind and no expectations and you're sure to have a good time.
