Well, it seems park vandals have sent their own message to neighborhood grant-getters: Destroy it. And, in a related story, neighborhood leaders gear up to give away more city general fund money for neighborhood grants for projects that increase the capacity of community groups and assist in outreach to under-represented communities, such as immigrant groups.
