If you come to Srilanka come to MalaHomeStay.. We stayed at malas homestay for two nights. The food was very delicious and the family really nice. The room was clean, but very small. The bathroom was a little bit too far away from the room.
We had some special experiences at malas homestay: But there was a big problem: It was very uncomfortable. The cooking class was the compromise and was interesting it was our idea, of course she wants money for that - Rupies for one person and you have to pay your food extra!
She constantly talked about her business and asking us to rate her good on tripadvisor all the time "Please write a good comment, write about the cooking class and write about the Wi-Fi! Despite the exciting insights we would be happy to leave the homestay.
Mala was a little bit too irritating and focused on money. Recommanded by Hamsaam villa, we went there for dinner and really enjoyed the delicious food, one of our best in Sri Lanka, all cooked fresh! We appreciated talking with the lovely family in the garden and even had a tour at the temple to get more of Sri Lankan's culture, which was very kind and instructive.
