I want to start by saying that I stayed at this hotel last January We picked the hotel because it was one of the only ones that accepted dogs in Panama City and we travelled with our Chihuahua.
Back then, our experience was great, which is why we decided to return. On this occasion, we arrived at the hotel and had to wait about 15 minutes outside in the heat for valet parking and another 10 minutes for a bellman to help with our luggage.
Finally we decided to carry all of our luggage ourselves. We checked in and informed the front desk that we had been waiting for a bellman, they apologized but were not able to get us help to bring the luggage upstairs to our room, so once again, we carried it ourselves. Here comes the really scary part: We were meeting a friend and he arrived at the hotel about 3 hours after we arrived.
He called me from reception to let me know that he had been stopped and they were checking his id, which I can understand. My husband -who took the call- asked why, and told them this person was My husband -who took the call- asked why, and told them this person was just visiting, not staying to sleep, that we had NEVER been charged for someone to visit us in any hotel we have been, including this one a few months ago.
I immediately called back and asked to talk to the manager and was promptly place on hold for 10 minutes until my friend was finally able to come upstairs, at which point I hung up.
