It's nice to walk and dine there but the problem is that women are fake: they look like very beautiful angels but they only want free drinks and free food, then they run away. Or they are simply prostitutes who will ask you money always after scrounging food and beverages. I have lived in Odessa for long: this is a rule.
Trust me. You must pay, even if you are CR7!!!! Legendary Deribasovskaya Street is the main pedestrian walkway in Odessa, which is located near the Opera House. It is quite short, less that 1 km long, paved with ancient stones, and packed with restaurants, cafes, pricey shops, and bookstores. Near the corner of Preobrazhenskaya at Deribasovskaya 33 is the spectacular and historic four-story corridor or "Passage" built in The inner Baroque style courtyard is decorated with marvelous sculptures of ancient gods, all shielded by a vaulted glass roof.
Be sure to watch for it! This street is the most lively of Odessa's cobblestone streets and should not be missed. This is a busy pedestrian street with lots of good places to eat in and lots to see. There is a small park with famous sculptures and the entrance to the Passage.
You will find souvenirs along this street as well. Lots of places to eat in the main street of town. A walking tour points out some of the local attractions in the area. Not a lot of decent souvenir places though. A short promenade full of color, horses, ponies, music, jugglers, balloon sellers and a magical atmosphere. Cafes, restaurants and pubs around. Buy black ice cream, strange and delicious!
We walked with a baby carriage and was very comfortable. Nice place to hang around, nice cafes and restaurantants as well as shops.
