Had this hotel booked for us through a Groupon deal for the f1 Grand Prix, on arrival at approx 9pm we were greeted by a car park attendant who was obviously after a promotion as there was no way we were going to be allowed to park in the hotel car park. We were directed to park on a road around the back. We duly parked and found our way to reception carrying our bags, nobody to assist or even open a door, just got a vacant look from a staff member who seemed more interested in chatting to a group of what we could only describe as prostitute's due to their state of dress and the way they were parading around the lobby and veranda outside this certainly isn't the hotel for a evening out.
Once in the room we found it to be very tired and dated. Stained carpet, scuffed paintwork and wardrobe doors. An air conditioning unit that was as much use as a chocolate teapot. Breakfast was ok but repetitive, and certainly appeared to have some leftovers from the previous evenings meals, Not that we wanted to eat anything there in the evening due to the unwelcoming atmosphere.
We advise anybody who does decide to stay here to thoroughly check their bedding including the mattress as we found ours to be heavily stained and dirty. Yes it is a budget hotel but you would still expect Yes it is a budget hotel but you would still expect good customer service as after all we are paying their wages.
Apparently this is a four star hotel, in my opinion at least two too many More. Dear Guest, Thank you for your review! All staffs were friendly and helpful. There were lots of variety in breakfast and several people sometimes more than needed were ready to change your dishes and make your table clean. By taking tram in-front of the hotel you can go to different part of the city. There was a big shopping mall near the hotel Two stops by tram with several restaurants inside and outside.
