This Inn had many problems.. First off, the first night there was prostitutes on both sides of my room. And my room had wreaked of smoke. And the second night the keys went out in the middle of the night and no one answered the door at the middle of the night or the phone, so I slept in my car. The front desk refused to give me a refund. Jared was flat out rude. Would not suggest this place, seems to be where all the crackheads of the town go. There was so much stuff wrong with this place that I am hoping you will take my word and go to another place rather than have me list everything that sucks about that inn.
Like the lack of customer service and Excellent location near restaurant, shops and beach dunes. Spacious room, good tv channels selection. Friendly staff. Good wifi signal. Right on the famous 1 road southside. Highly recommend this place as its good value for money. Close to beach and dunes. Hotel is small but quiet. They offer continental breakfast, but it is at a restaurant a block away.
Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. WiFi was free but very spotty. We stayed here two nights. The first night, I slept on the side of the bed closer to the air conditioner and it was awful. I could feel the springs through the mattress and the pillows were uncomfortable. The next night, my husband switched sides. The other side of the bed was alright and my husband said he could also feel the springs in the mattress. There is so much street noise that it kept me awake a good part of both nights.
This is located on the main street that goes to the dunes so I understand that they'll have traffic. I don't care for a certain odor in the main office that seems to be in a lot of small motels these days. Had to get new coat hangers from the front desk because the previous guests broke each one and put them in a drawer.
I never could get hooked up to the "free" wifi. Fairly close to the dunes. We'll look for a different place to stay in Oceano next time we're there. We were only staying one night, so hard to explain whether it would get better. The beds were comfortable, the wifi was very flakey it does work better if you are closer to the reception area. Hosts really didn't know much about the surrounding areas and couldn't offer much from a tourists point of view.
