The red clay is tough on whites. But the one time I played it was fun. Seemed to give a higher bounce than har tru. Been there, done that right here is a resort which put down 2 red clay courts a year ago. The plans are for the courts to be covered so that the clay can actually survive our weather and remain playable But likely a year or two out from becoming a reality. That's awesome though.
Click to expand My red clay courts are not like RG. They are laid over the existing surface without digging in and making layers. They have a shed which stores 2 tons of it for maintenance! Jack the Hack Hall of Fame. Is court 14 the one in the corner by itself? I played one of my Nationals matches on that one. Anyway, this is a really great idea and I hope it happens. I'm curious what the cost will be to play on those courts, as I imagine they will charge a premium for the indoor clay experience.
