History behind the design
One, two, three... The third generation of the Volkswagen Golf/Jetta (Vento in Europe) was launched in 1991! The Mark III body design had more round, not so boxy appearance in comparision with the MK1 and MK2. It was the first time that 6 (VR6) cylinder engine appeared in the line up for these models. The Golf MK3 was voted European Car of the Year for 1992 - the first Volkswagen to win this award. Harlequin models were released - these models have different colour panels all around the car (Tornado Red, Ginster Yellow, Chagall Blue, and Pistachio Green). We really dig those! These days Mark III is really popular among VW enthusiasts, tuners or they are even used for track use.
The flashy 80's style
