So, people will be happy to argue that I shouldn't have picked up a book if I thought married hookers ain't my deal but then again, I gotta be honest. I was intrigued when I picked up this book.
I mean, who wouldn't be? About 5 people had asked to lend this book from me once I was finished. The title itself is so intriguing, right? You wonder: how does she get away with it? How does she manage two lives? I wanted to find some answers. Hence, I found myself buying this book especially since it was on sale and cost about a dollar.
I have to admit, I was disappointed from the start. For starters, it didn't help that this book is a sequel and I had never read the first part. Nor did I want to read the first one. Also, the MC, Nancy was so annoying. She kept belittling her friends and she had zero regard for her husband unless it was time for sex. Yes, I get the fact that she's a call girl and she shouldn't be guilty about cheating on her husband but I at least wanted her to admit that she was cheating on her husband!
And she made a big fuss about her being a "working girl" throughout the book. It didn't help that all of her friends were total bitches and the story was extremely lackluster.
There are only a few things that happen in the entire book like Nancy's friend getting stalked online, Nancy and her husband trying for babies against her will and this girl Charmaine getting Botox treatments. There was nothing significant happening and overall, the book just seemed a drag as thought the author was trying to make her book as long as possible.
