Basically my planned itinerary is 4 days to see Cairo and Giza , namely:. Guides hanging around sites are often not worth it. You don't need a guide to go the sites if you don't want it, not at all. Many visitors do it by themselves and that is not a problem. However, a GOOD guide can make a heck of a difference in terms of getting around, getting the extra bit of history and advice you don't find in a guide book etc.
Guides must be certified and should preferably be employed by an agency. One member here will have a grand time with guide NN, whom another member hates. One member will adore agency NN, another member may feel they didn't get what they paid for. Often it has to do with chemistry, but make absolutely darn sure that you get what you pay for. State clearly what you want to see and what you don't want to see and have the guide or agency quote you a price.
Check if it is with our without entrance fees, lunch, driver and so on. The keyword is research and planning. There are places and streets and areas. I don't know your preferences and realize it is not my business. I also don't care at all about what concenting adults do, so I can safely say that there are places. I don't recommend going there though and I don't want to get into a debate on prostitution, but if you are after a sex-vacation, I recommend you seek other places than Egypt.
Without insinuating anything, I also have to stress that engaging in same sex relations are considered illegal. The law can be bend in many places in Egypt, but I strongly recommend that you think twice about visiting a brothel or go to a prostitute. I am Danish, so I don't know how it works in UK.
