Julio's place is clean, quiet and above all you have privacy. You also have access to a clean basic kitchen which I did not use much because breakfast is inclusive and the family cooked dinner for me at a very reasonable price and to my specificity. Nice room the only one? It was good for us! Julio arranged lodging on very short notice for my group of 10 cyclists. We had an excellent dinner and breakfast at the restaurant on the premises then were off early to visit the iconic El Cobre Church on our way to Santiago de Cuba.
Thank you Julio! The Casa is a beautiful colonial building and the room is big and incredibly nice. Very well placed, in the heart of Tivoli, at 5 minutes walk from the heart of Santiago. They helped us with everything. The breakfast is very good and cheaper than in other places. Jean Francois is a very relaxed and welcoming person. The room is great, spacious and with a nice view over Santiago. His restaurant and sightseeing tips were just perfect.
All in all, it was a very pleasant stay in Santiago with Jean Francois. I was laughing when I got in because it was so much nicer than my previous casa experiences in Santiago and for that, places in the US.
It's beautiful and I'm absolutely booking there again if it's available. Great location. Easy check in and out. Jean- Francois is a wonderful host. We booked his casa the day before and he responded very quickly and was there to meet us on arrival.
He even helped us book a very early taxi to the airport and was there to say goodbye. The casa is very lovely and clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is quiet, with the odd car or motorbike noise.
