It is nicknamed "The City of Parks," boasting just under of them. It is a main trading hub between Venezuela and Colombia, due to its location in the northeast of the country. A beautiful and safe city. Definitely worth a visit. Temperature stays fairly consistent all year.
But, like in anywhere unfamiliar, exercise caution at night and while walking alone in secluded areas. If you make your world small and only stay in and around Cabecera del Llano , you'll have very little to worry about. Check out one of the cities many parks. Chicamocha is the most famous one. Not bad, but if you are coming from Pereira or Medellin, it will seem impossible by comparison. Basically, you just need to invest a bit more time into a Bucaramanga girl before you'll be able to sleep with her.
Do not limit yourself to going to bars and clubs alone because you will not get results. Try to meet someone at Vintrash or elsewhere and hit the discos in a group.
I wasn't blown away, nor was I disappointed. The quality and appearance of girls here is more or less the same as in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Women here had much better personalities than in Medellin and seemed much more honest and genuine. This contributed to their overall attractiveness, but on a purely physical basis, this is not the best city for girls in Colombia.
Check local newspapers or get to know some students for good deals. Pretty standard stuff for a medium-sized city. As far as I can gather, virtually all the bars and clubs in Bucaramanga are in the district of Cabecera del Llano , so you should stay there there is a hostel and apartments nearby.
