Pros: friendly staff and nice linens. Cons: This hotel is situated in the red light district. Transvestite prostitutes strut their wares right in front of the hotel's main entrance. There is a park across the street that locals call "Crack Park".
Very very seedy. Cons: On Friday and Saturday nights, most of the guests are young adults from the suburbs who come to town to party in the nightclubs. Once the bars close, at 3am, they stumble back to the hotel and make tons of noise hooting in the hallways and partying in their rooms. Imagine bunking with the cast of the Jersey Shore. We do have a park directly across from us called Allen Gardens. This is a botanical garden and does have daily tours at a very small cost. At the north end of the park there is a large dog park for all the people in the area to use. When it comes to inside the hotel, we do have two security staff on from Midnight to am every night who patrol the floors. You do have to be 21 years of age with a valid credit card to check into the hotel and this is strictly enforced. The rooms have been upgraded with brand new bathrooms in the last few years which are very nice.. Always love staying there, not least because of the hotel staff which is great..
