I'm not disputing that there are religious people in Canada, as there are tons. They just don't rule society - at least I don't think they do. Originally Posted by leroythelion. Location: Mexico and I hate it. I'm trying to move back to the US. This is also largely due to differing religious demography and history. Catholics significantly outnumber Protestants in Canada in sharp contrast to the USA which is overwhelmingly Protestant.
Moreover, the character of that Protestantism, since the US was the epicentre of the Great Awakenings rather then Britain, is much less Evangelical, with Anglicans and the United Church being by far the largest denominations. These sorts of numbers matter in the political and cultural trajectory of a nation. Last edited by weltschmerz; at PM.. One could say I was in the heart of the "Fun Mecca" of Canada. Prostitution in Montreal would be readily visible with beautiful women being seen sitting at the hotel bars by themselves or in duo's.
