This is the end-of-project report of the project 'Law in Action: Local-level and collaborative governance of prostitution in two European cities -Antwerp Belgium and Catania Italy '. It comparatively analysed city-based prostitution policies and practices and their effects on sex workers in the cities of Antwerp Belgium and Catania Italy.

This causes sex work to exist further in the margins of contemporary societies. Latin American transgender migrants selling sex furthermore live with a threefold stigma: they work in prostitution, they are of foreign origin, and they are transgendered. As an anthropologist, this asked for a broader understanding about the motives and effects of this activity in the sex industry as a Latin American transgender migrant.
This consideration has led to this narrative study as a result. Antwerp was thereby chosen as the principal location for this fieldwork as this group is largely present in this Belgian city.
